In Men’s Cricket, India defeated England by 2 wickets in the second T20 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Earlier, England set a victory target of 166 runs for India. Sent into bat first, the visitors made 165 for 9 in their allotted 20 overs. Jos Buttler (c) was the highest scorer with 45 runs. For India, Axar Patel and Varun Chakravarthy picked up 2 wickets each.
The hosts made two changes but Mohammed Shami still remained out. Washington Sundar and Dhruv Jurel are the new faces in the playing XI, replacing Nitish Kumar Reddy and Rinku Singh who have been forced to go out of the team due to their respective injuries.
England also made two changes, Carse for Atkinson, and Jamie Smith for Bethell, who is unwell. For Smith, this is a T20 international debut
