Switzerland suspends approvals for weapons exports to US, citing its neutrality amid ongoing Israeli-US war with Iran

Switzerland has suspended approvals for weapons exports to the United States, citing its neutrality amid the ongoing Israeli-US war with Iran. In a statement issued today, the Swiss government said exports of war material to countries involved in the conflict with Iran cannot be authorised for the duration of the conflict. As a result, no new arms export licences will be granted to the United States. The decision was taken by the Federal Council, which also said that existing licenses and exports of other goods will be reviewed by a group of experts.
