The Supreme Court has directed EROs (Electoral Registration Officers) and AEROs (Assistant Electoral Registration Officers) in West Bengal to hand over all voter documents that have not yet been uploaded to the website under the SIR process, to the Judicial Officers by 5 PM tomorrow
The court issued this order when the Election Commission today drew the attention of the bench comprising Chief Justice Surya Kant, Justice Joymalya Bagchi, and Justice Vipul M. Pancholi. The apex court stated that all voter documents submitted to EROs and AEROs up to February 14, but not yet uploaded, must be handed over to the Judicial Officers engaged in the SIR process.
