In connection with National Voters’ Day, various voter awareness programmes are being organised across the country under the auspices of the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. As part of these activities, a cycle rally titled “Sundays on Cycle” was organised at Karaikal in Puducherry.

The cycle rally was led by the Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports, Labour & Employment, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya.

Puducherry Lieutenant Governor K. Kailashnathan flagged off the rally from the Arignar Anna Government Arts and Science College, Karaikal.Puducherry Legislative Assembly Speaker R Selvam and Minister for Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs P R N Thirumurugan were among those present on the occasion.

A large number of participants, including college students, took part in the rally despite rain and cycled through the main roads of Karaikal town, spreading awareness among the general public.
