US stocks ended lower yesterday. The Nasdaq Composite fell over two percent, S&P 500 was down 1.12 percent, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 0.31 percent down. Shares of global automakers also took a dive today after US President Donald Trump announced a 25 per cent tariff on cars that are not manufactured in the United States.
