In cricket, Sri Lanka Women and South Africa Women are all set to battle it out in the ICC Women’s World Cup in Colombo this afternoon.  Weather reports say light rains might interrupt play or affect the pitch conditions at the Premadasa stadium, making it slightly tricky for batters later in the game.

 

 

Meanwhile, Australia have booked their place in the semi-finals with a commanding 10-wicket win over Bangladesh in Visakhapatnam last night. Chasing 199 after Bangladesh had won the toss and decided to bat first, Alyssa Healy and Phoebe Litchfield made the task look easy, reaching the target in under 25 overs.

 

 

The victory took Australia to the top of the World Cup table with nine points from five matches. India, with four points and sitting second in Group A, will play with England in Indore on Sunday in a crunch match.
