Sri Lanka has seized a major consignment of narcotics after intercepting a local multi-day fishing trawler in the deep seas off the country’s southern coast.
According to the Sri Lanka Navy, more than 102 kilograms of heroin were recovered from the vessel after it was taken into custody late on March 7.
Naval and investigative teams also discovered about 900 grams of cocaine during the search.
