In Punjab, the Holy city of Sri Anandpur Sahib is all set to welcome devotees from across the world who will be visiting the city of bliss to pay obeisance at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib on the occasion of the 350th Martyrdom Day of the Ninth Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji.
A series of events has been marked between November 23rd to 25th to commemorate the occasion. Light and Sound Shows are being organised across the state. Kirtan Samagams were held at various places, including at Gurdwara Chhevi Patshahi in Srinagar, which will be reaching at Sri Anandpur Sahib tomorrow on November 22.
Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib Ji will be held on the main day-November 25th. A Sarv Dharm Sammelan will also be organised, in which eminent religious leaders from various communities will participate, along with Brahma Kumaris and some Akahadas. Besides various other events like an exhibition on the life of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji at Virasat-e-Khalsa memorial, Heritage Walk, Gatka and Tent Pegging will be held. A Drone Show will be held at Virasat-e-Khalsa memorial from November 23 to 29, showcasing the high ideals of secularism, humanism and spirit of self-sacrifice as preached and practised by ‘Hind Di Chaadar’ – Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
A Special Vidhan Sabha Session has also been scheduled on November 24th in the holy city as part of the commemorative events.
Elaborate security arrangements with Drone and CCTV surveillance have been made. Tent cities with all amenities including medical and transportation facilities have been made.
