In squash, the top-seeded Indian player, Anahat Singh, clinched the silver medal in the women’s under-19 final at the British Junior Open squash championships. The top seed finished as the runner-up went down 9-11, 11-7, 3-11, 9-11 in the final to France’s Lauren Baltayan at the University of Birmingham in England today. Anahat Singh had previously defeated Egypt’s Malika El Karaksy in the semifinals yesterday to reach the final.
