In Haryana, a speeding truck rammed into a car parked on the road in front of Golden Hut dhaba near Rai on National Highway 44 in Sonepat early today. The truck dragged the car for about 200 metres.
Two sisters, Mandeep Kaur and Manpreet Kaur, died on the spot, while four occupants were injured.
Mandeep Kaur was a resident of Tilak Nagar in Delhi, and Manpreet Kaur was from Amritsar in Punjab.
The injured were taken to the hospital by the police, and the dead bodies have been sent to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem.
