In Kerala, the Special Investigation Team, investigating Sabari Mala Gold Case under the supervision of Kerala High Court has started questioning Head Priest Thantri Kandararu Rajeevaru.

Akashvani Correspondent reports that the Kollam Vigilance Court today allowed the SIT to take Head Priest Thantri Kandararu Rajeevaru into custody for one day in connection with the Sabari Mala Gold Case.

The court will consider the bail plea of the Thantri on the 28th of this month. Meanwhile, the State Legislative Assembly witnessed heated arguments between the Opposition and the Treasury Benches over the Sabarimala issue.

The House was adjourned for the day without continuing business. The Opposition raised placards and demanded the resignation of former Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran as MLA.

On the other hand, ruling LDF members demanded the questioning of Sonia Gandhi in connection with the Sabarimala gold case.
