The Special Intensive Revision, SIR of eletoral rolls in Bihar is underway in full swing to ensure that no eligible elector is left out. Booth Level Officers, BLO Supervisors, election officials, Booth Level Agents appointed by political parties and volunteers are working at grassroots level for the intensive revision.

Election Commission said in a statement that over one crore four lakh Enumeration Forms have been received. This amounts to 13.19 per cent of the total of electors in Bihar who are enrolled as on 24th June this year. The percentage of the forms distributed has also gone up to 93.57 per cent, with over 7 crore 38 lakh forms already distributed.

The partially filled forms are also available for download on Election Commission’s portal as well on ECINET App. The filled forms can be uploaded by the elector on ECINET App. Twenty thousand 603 BLOs are being appointed for the smooth and timely completion of the process. Nearly 4 lakh volunteers which includes government officials, NCC cadets, NSS members are also working on the field to facilitate the elderly, sick and vulnerable populations in the SIR process. Over one lakh fifty thousand Booth Level Agents appointed by various political parties are also providing active support in the SIR process.
