Soft Power Key to Peace, Says Mos Kirti Vardhan Singh at SCO Youth Authors Conference

 
For the current geopolitical scenario, soft power kind of diplomacy is important for peacebuilding. Inaugurating the two-day 2nd Youth Authors’ conference by the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in New Delhi, today, the Minister of State of MEA, Kirti Vardhan Singh, said that no platform is better than a creative platform to share experiences, to understand each other’s views and to build the connect between people. The two-day event is hosted by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the National Book Trust (NBT) and has a theme of Dynamics of Creative Space in the Digital Age.
 
 
Highlighting the successful conference held last year, the Minister said that India has again got the opportunity for the biennial conference, which shows the efforts, trust and impression India has made on the SCO. Mr Singh said that the young authors today will also be reshaping the image and the imagination of tomorrow’s generation, who are going to be tomorrow’s leaders of the country. He further said that soft power is a very important area and a diplomatic route through which we can continue to forge better and closer ties with our neighbours.
 
 
On the 1st day of the event today, the  SCO Secretariat, Rakhanova Minara, Senior Diplomat, Alok Amitabh Dimri, Chairman of NBT, Milind Sudhakar Marath, NBT director, Yuvaraj Malik, Varun Bhardwa, along with Kumar Vikram and delegates from all the member countries were present there.
