Social Justice and Empowerment Ministry organises Divya Kala Mela at Lucknow University, UP

Social Justice and Empowerment Ministry is organizing Divya Kala Mela from today at Lucknow University in Uttar Pradesh. Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Banwari Lal Verma will formally inaugurate the fair tomorrow, which will continue till 23rd November. Around 100 Divyang artisans, artists and entrepreneurs from around 18 States and Union Territories will exhibit their products and skills at this Mela. It will offer a range of products from different regions of India, including Jammu and Kashmir, along with the North-Eastern states.

 

Products such as handicrafts, handloom items, embroidery work, packaged food, and more all supporting Vocal for local will be available under one roof. The nine-day mela will remain open for public from 11 am to 9 pm. In a statement, the Ministry highlighted that the event aims to showcase the products and artistic skills of Divyang entrepreneurs and artisans from across the country. Divyang artisans from 24 states participated in these 26 Melas held in the past three years have collectively earned business worth over 21 crore rupees.
