Smooth LPG distribution maintained Across Maharashtra State

Maharashtra’s Food and Civil Supplies Minister, Chhagan Bhujbal, today assured citizens that the state has an adequate stock of LPG and distribution is also going on smoothly. Addressing the state council this morning, Mr. Bhujbal urged citizens not to panic and listed the steps taken to curb black marketing and hoarding of gas cylinders. The minister said the state has authorised police protection for LPG transportation and distribution, while district collectors have been directed to vigilance squads and take action against black marketing. He said directions have also been issued to address technical issues in the gas refill booking app and missed-call services. Mr. Bhujbal further informed that LPG production at refineries has been increased from 9,000 metric tonnes to 11,000 metric tonnes and daily meetings are being held with oil companies and gas distributors to ensure uninterrupted supply.
