Six people of a family died in a tragic road accident in the Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh this morning. The incident took place on Panipat Khatima highway when a speeding car lost control and rammed into a stationed truck. Six people travelling in the car died on the spot, while another person sitting in the car got seriously injured.

All were residents of the Faridpur area in Haryana and were heading towards Haridwar for the immersion of the ashes of a deceased person in the family. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognisance of the road accident. He expressed condolences to the bereaved families and directed officials to ensure proper treatment to the injured, and wished for a speedy recovery.
