Silver Jubilee Edition of FICCI FRAMES Inaugurated in Mumbai

The Silver Jubilee edition of FICCI FRAMES was inaugurated today in Mumbai. The event was graced by Information and Broadcasting Secretary Sanjay Jaju and actor Ayushmann Khurrana.
 
 
Speaking at the inauguration, Mr Jaju highlighted the remarkable growth of the media and entertainment industry over the past 25 years. He said the industry has grown tenfold from 25 thousand crore rupees to two lakh 50 thousand crore rupees. He highlighted the global appeal of Indian cinema, naming movies like Lagaan, Slumdog Millionaire, RRR, Baahubali, and The Elephant Whisperers, which touched audiences across continents.
 
 
He said that the success of these stories shows that India still has a vast number of untold stories that can inspire the world. On the Orange Economy, Mr Jaju said, it goes beyond media and entertainment. He said, it is about transforming the country’s cultural strengths into creative energy that inspires the world.
 
 
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also participated in a session alongside actor Akshay Kumar. He expressed his commitment to strengthening the connection between FICCI FRAMES and the Marathi film industry.
 
 
Speaking about the WAVES OTT platform, Prasar Bharti CEO Gaurav Dwivedi said that the platform is envisioned as a one-stop shop for all Indian content. He said the platform is built upon Prasar Bharati’s rich heritage and legacy. He said the platform is also being expanded by including new programmes, shows, films, online games, and reading materials.
