Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh has said that the signing of the India-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (FTA) will provide a big boost for Indian exporters. On social media, the Minister said that the FTA will deliver 100% duty-free access across all tariff lines. He added that the FTA will also remove earlier duties of up to 10% on sectors including textiles, leather, carpets, ceramics, and auto components; enhance competitiveness; and open new markets. Mr Singh said that with a clear framework, the FTA aims to support services, mobility, investment, and agriculture, strengthening resilience and driving inclusive growth.
