Shubhanshu Shukla to attend several programs in Kolkata today

Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, the first Indian astronaut to return from the International Space Station, is arriving in Kolkata today. He will spend time with high school and college students at the Indian Centre for Space Physics in the city.

He will visit a museum and tour a pavilion named after him in the institute. Later he will take part in a debate titled “My Experience in Space: The Final Frontier.” Prof. Dr. Sandeep Chakraborty, Director, Indian Centre for Space Research, Dr. Jaydeep Mukherjee, NASA scientist, and other dignitaries will participate in the discussion.

Shubhanshu Shukla made history on 26 June this year by reaching the ISS as part of the Axiom‑4 mission with three other astronauts. He returned to Earth on 15 July.
