In the United States, a shooter with a rifle opened fire from a nearby roof onto a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Dallas, killing one detainee and injuring two others in a transport van before taking his own life, authorities said. The suspect has been identified by a law enforcement official as 29-year-old Joshua Jahn.
The exact motivation for the attack was not immediately known. FBI Director Kash Patel posted a photo on social media showing a bullet found at the scene with the words “ANTI-ICE” written on it in what appeared to be marker. The Dallas ICE office had previously been the target of protests and threats. In August, a man was arrested after bringing a fake bomb to the building.
