Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said that the ideals that Mahatma Gandhi presented to the world through truth and non-violence are a source of inspiration for everyone. Paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at an interfaith prayer meeting in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh on the occasion Gandhi Jayanti, the Minister said that Gandhiji did all his work with the cooperation of society. He added that none of Mahatma Gandhi’s campaigns ever stopped due to lack of resources and people contributed funds for all his constructive efforts. 

Mr Chouhan also underlined that organisations working for the welfare of people should draw inspiration from this and strive to ensure greater community support for their work. He further said that any organisation can work with  impartiality only when it is not dependent on any government.
