The PM-KISAN scheme is one of the country’s largest welfare initiatives. Under this scheme, farmers are sent ₹2,000 directly into their bank accounts every four months. This annual assistance of ₹6,000 provides significant relief to farmers and eases their burden. Speaking on the transformative impact of this scheme, Dr. Khemchand, a scientist at the National Institute of Agricultural Economics and Policy Research, said,

Under the PM-KISAN scheme, more than ₹390,000 crore has been transferred directly to farmers’ accounts in 21 instalments so far.

The PM-KISAN scheme is like a rain shower in the lives of farmers. It helps them reap a golden harvest, feeding the nation with their hard work.”
