The domestic benchmark equity indices, Sensex and Nifty were trading in the green today, reflecting gains in Asian markets after the U.S. paused its planned tariffs on Canada and Mexico, alleviating concerns over a global trade war.

The BSE Sensex had gained over 659 points or 0.85 per cent at 77,846, while the Nifty50 went up 180 points or 0.77 per cent to trade at 23,541 when reports last came in.
