Snapping a week-long losing streak, the domestic benchmark indices rose nearly 1.6 per cent this week. The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange gained 1,290 points, or 1.6 per cent, to finish at 82,408. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange gained 394 points or 1.6 per cent to end at 25,112. But, in the broader market, the BSE mid-cap Index declined 0.4 per cent, and the BSE Small-cap index shed nearly 2 per cent.
