Senior Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is on a day-long visit to Assam, addressing public meetings ahead of the Assembly elections. Addressing her first rally at Mackeypore Tea Estate in Nazira, Sivasagar district, she criticised the BJP-led government over inflation, alleged corruption and unemployment. She said rising living costs are burdening citizens and termed the BJP’s policies anti-people. The Congress leader also criticised the government over its handling of the West Asia conflict.
