In the wake of the recent blast in Delhi, the Reasi District Administration and Police have intensified security measures across Katra, the base camp of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrimage and the surrounding areas. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that the region, has been placed on high alert to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims and residents. Inspections at key locations, reviewing the deployment and preparedness of security personnel. Special nakas (checkpoints) have been established at all entry and exit points of Katra, with intensified vehicle checking and verification drives. Additional deployment has been made around the Bhawan track, railway station, bus stand, and other high-footfall zones. Surveillance has been enhanced through CCTV monitoring and increased patrolling by police and paramilitary forces. The administration has urged the public and pilgrims to cooperate with security personnel, carry valid identification documents, and report any suspicious activity immediately. These measures have been taken purely as a precautionary step to maintain peace and ensure uninterrupted pilgrimage operations.
