Seat-sharing among the National Democratic Alliance in Puducherry has been finalised for the forthcoming general Assembly Elections. Sixteen seats have been allotted to the All India N.R. Congress, ten to the Bharatiya Janata Party, and two seats each to the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and the Latchiya Jananayaka Katchi. Meanwhile, candidates from various political parties filed their nominations today for the Puducherry Legislative Assembly elections. Chief Minister N. Rangasamy filed his nomination papers to contest the Thattanchavady and Mangalam constituencies. Home Minister A. Namassivayam filed his nomination from Mannadipet constituency on behalf of the BJP. Ministers P. R. N. Thirumurugan of the All India N.R. Congress and John Kumar filed their nomination papers for the Karaikal North and Mudaliarpet constituencies, respectively. Leader of the Opposition and DMK leader R. Siva also filed his nomination from Villianur constituency.
