Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that this is the most opportune time for scientists, innovators, and policymakers to come together to build inclusive ecosystems and solutions that empower the most vulnerable.
Addressing the International Conference of Young Scientists and the Annual General Meeting of the Global Young Academy in Hyderabad, the minister called upon scientists to collaborate and co-create with a sense of purpose and empathy. The Minister also underlined the need to align science with the vision of Viksit Bharat and human-centric development.
Highlighting India’s civilizational ethos, Mr. Pradhan said that “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”-One Earth, One Family, One Future – is not just a slogan but a way of life for India.
He said India believes in science that is empathetic, ethical, and equitable. He emphasised that science must be shared and that partnerships, not patents, should shape the future.
Mr. Pradhan said India’s global scientific engagements, such as the International Solar Alliance, the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure, Mission LiFE, and the India Science and Research Fellowship, reflect the spirit of Vishwa Bandhutva- global friendship through science.
