In Keralam, the sole accused in the murder case of Dr Vandanadas of Kottarakkara Taluk Hospital, Sandeep, has been sentenced to life imprisonment. The court has sentenced him to a total of 30 years in prison for various offences. He must also pay a fine of 1 lakh rupees.

The verdict was announced by the Kollam Additional Sessions Court. Vandana’s parents said that they will continue their legal battle to get a more severe punishment for the accused and will move appeal in the High Court.
