SĀDHANA Saptah 2026 has recorded over 3.18 crore course completions, marking a tenfold growth under Mission Karmayogi. The campaign, held from the 2nd April to the 10th April, reinforced the Government’s commitment to building a future-ready, citizen-centric and competency-driven civil service ecosystem. It was inaugurated through a video message by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who emphasised continuous learning and capacity building among government functionaries.
According to the Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, the initiative witnessed participation on an unprecedented scale. Over 46 lakh employees completed at least one course, while more than 33 lakh completed over four hours of learning. Around 36.6 lakh employees also took at least one AI-related course, reflecting a growing focus on digital skills and emerging technologies.
The Ministry said frontline workers, including teachers, police personnel and field-level functionaries, played a key role. Many participated in structured learning for the first time, contributing over 1.48 crore course completions, nearly 47 percent of the total. State and Union Territory governments drove much of the momentum, accounting for nearly 80 percent of all course completions.
The campaign also featured 136 thematic webinars and 84 Samuhik Charchas, drawing over 16 lakh cumulative learning engagements. The Ministry added that these sessions covered a wide spectrum of themes, including Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation, Indian Knowledge Systems, Infrastructure and Technical Expertise, Governance and Ethics, and Health and Wellness, ensuring a holistic and multidisciplinary learning experience.
SĀDHANA Saptah 2026 was designed as a nationwide effort, using print, television, radio, digital media and field-level engagement to ensure wide participation and regional outreach. The initiative also highlighted regional language content and citizen-centric narratives to enhance engagement across diverse audiences.
