In Ukraine, Russian shelling overnight killed one person and injured five others in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region. The attacks targeted several settlements. Ukrainian authorities said Russian forces carried out seven shelling attacks, hitting multiple districts. Officials evacuated 108 civilians from frontline areas, including 18 children, amid continued fighting.
The attacks came as U.S. President Donald Trump held talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Florida. The two leaders met at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate and discussed a proposed 20-point peace framework, security guarantees and possible territorial compromises aimed at ending the war.
