‘Run for Unity’ Held in Karnal to Mark 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

 
My Bharat organized a “Run for Unity” in Karnal today to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Union Minister for Urban Housing and Power Manohar Lal Khatter  participated in the event. He shared the message of fitness and unity with the youth. 
 
 
The march, organized from Maharaja Agrasen Chowk to Karna Lake, was flagged off by Haryana Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan. Union Minister Manohar Lal was present at the conclusion of the march at Karna Lake, where he addressed the participants. 
 
On this occasion, Union Minister Manohar Lal said that the  two-month period is dedicated to the country’s former Home Minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. During this period, various programs will be held across the country. A 20-day padyatra will be held in Kevadia, Gujarat, in which people  will participate from across the country, including Haryana.
                                                        
 
He appealed to the youth to draw inspiration from Sardar Patel’s life and work for the integrity, social harmony, and development of the country. On this occasion, in response to a question from the media about the cricket final, being played today he said – 
                                                          
 
In response to another question, he said that two young men from Karnal who traveled via the Donki route are stranded in Iran and efforts are being made to free them. Contacts are being made with the Iranian government to ensure they are not subjected to any form of torture. If the government deports them, we have no objection, as traveling illegally is not appropriate.
