Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale today said, architect of ABVP Yashwantrao Kelkar strongly advocated women’s participation in student organisations.

Addressing a programme marking the birth centenary year of Yashwantrao Kelkar in New Delhi, Mr Hosabale encouraged young women to actively participate in its student wing, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). Mr Hosabale said that Mr Kelkar played a key role in shaping the ideology and organisational structure of the ABVP. He underlined that Mr Kelkar developed the philosophy of the student movement and explained the ideological foundations and thought process behind such organisations. The RSS general secretary also credited Mr Kelkar for emphasising discipline, meticulous planning, and punctuality in organisational work.
