RPF Wins First Place in Men’s Brass Band at 26th All India Police Band Competition

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has secured first place in the men’s brass band category, while Assam Rifles and BSF stood second, at the 26th All India Police Band Competition held at Moula Ali, in Secunderabad. In the women’s brass band category, CISF emerged winners with Shashastra Seema Bal as runners‑up. Maharashtra took the overall championship shield for men and CISF for women. Union Coal Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy presented awards and trophies to the best performing bands last evening and released a magazine to commemorate the event. Speaking at the closing ceremony, the minister lauded the role of police personnel and congratulated the RPF for hosting the competitions.

A total of 24 bands participated during the annual event, from police forces of various states, Central Armed Police Forces, and other uniformed services. Over 13 hundred band personnel including 224 women showcased the country’s rich tradition of police band music and ceremonial heritage.
