The newly constructed Royal Bhutan Buddhist Temple at Rajgir in Bihar, was inaugurated today with traditional rituals and Buddhist customs. Rajgir is the land of penance of Lord Buddha and it has great importance in Buddhism. The temple was inaugurated in accordance with Bhutanese tradition by the Prime Minister of Bhutan, Tshering Tobgay, the Union Minister for Minority Affairs, Kiren Rijiju and representatives of both countries. On this occasion, the Prime Minister of Bhutan said that this Buddhist temple will further strengthen the bonds of friendship between India and Bhutan.
