Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar has said that solutions and best practices to address urban challenges were discussed during the southern zone Urban development ministers meeting in Bengaluru today. Addressing media persons on the sidelines of the meeting, the minister informed that regional urban development issues will be taken up during the national level conclave to be held in New Delhi soon where ministers, Mayors and officials from across the country will dwell upon these challenges and come out with the solutions. The representatives from Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Puducherry and Lakshadweep participated in the regional meeting today. Mr Khattar said that issues related to urban planning, mobility, water and waste management, drainage systems and sanitation in cities were discussed during the meeting today.
