Regional airline Fly91 today commenced operations from Vijayawada International Airport with the launch of services on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada-Hyderabad sector. An inaugural ceremony was held at the Vijayawada Airport early in the morning, with Union Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu joining virtually. The Minister said the airline’s expansion into Vijayawada and Rajahmundry underscores the impact of the UDAN scheme in strengthening regional air connectivity. He noted that the modified UDAN programme aims to operationalise 100 new airports across the country over the next five years.
