Senior BJP leader and national spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad alleged the opposition leaders have no faith in constitutional bodies like Election Commission of India, so they are opposing Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Roll. During a press conference at BJP office in Patna on Sunday, Mr. Prasad said the draft Electoral Roll was published on 1st August but the claims and objections so far received is not corroborating their claims against SIR. He said Congress and RJD have significant numbers of BLAs but they are not coming forward to register their complaint about ASD list which represents absentee, shifted and dead voters in Electoral Roll in Bihar.

The former union minister said Congress and RJD leaders are charging baseless and shameless allegations against ECI, but the opposition must answer the question whether a dead person can vote or who has left the state permanently can exercise their right to vote ?
