Raksha Rajya Mantri Sanjay Seth visited the Golden Arrow Division of the Indian Army at Ferozepur yesterday, and reviewed operational preparedness, border management and humanitarian outreach initiatives of the formation.
He was briefed on operational readiness, infrastructure development and anti-drug initiatives in the sensitive border belt, besides the welfare of veterans.
The Minister paid solemn homage to the brave hearts of the 1965 Indo-Pak War at the Barki War Memorial and laid a wreath with full military honours. He also paid tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev at their Samadhi Sthal at Hussainiwala. He also undertook an extensive tour of flood-affected areas of the district and commended the swift and selfless relief operations carried out by the Golden Arrow Division in coordination with the district administration and other agencies.
