Rajasthan Heatwave: 12 cities cross 45°C, Sri Ganganagar hottest at 47.8°C

Normal life has been affected by the intense heatwave in Rajasthan. In the last 24 hours, the day temperature was recorded above 45 degrees Celsius in 12 cities. Sri Ganganagar was the hottest place, where the temperature was measured at 47.8 degrees Celsius. 

 

Akashvani Correspondent reports that several cities, including Alwar, Vanasthali, Jaipur, Pilani, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Churu, Dausa and Phalodi were affected by the heatwave yesterday and temperatures recorded above 45 degrees Celsius. The day temperature is being recorded three to four degrees Celsius above normal. Along with the day, nights are also scorching these days, and the night temperature is being measured above 30 degrees Celsius in many cities. The Met Centre, Jaipur, has issued an alert of intense heat in Bikaner division for the next two days and a heatwave in Alwar, Bharatpur, Dholpur, Jhunjhunu, Jaisalmer and Barmer.
