Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw today announced the decision to bring major reforms in Railways, aiming for 52 reforms this year. Mr Vaishnaw held a meeting with Minister of State for Railways V. Somanna and Ravneet Singh, along with Railway Board Chairman and CEO Satish Kumar and senior officials in New Delhi today.
The meeting highlighted the spirit of New Year, New Resolutions, and bringing major reforms in Railways. Mr Vaishnaw said there will be 52 reforms in 52 weeks for systematic improvements in service delivery. This will include focus on safety, AI and advanced tech use for better service to the passengers, talent and training revamp for better skilled workforce and food and catering upgrade to enhance the travel experience.
