Union Minister of Railways and Information and Broadcasting, Ashwini Vaishnav, shared his experiences on the best signal and track maintenance procedures being followed globally, with the railway staff on his way to Chandigarh from Delhi, today.
Accompanied by Minister of State for Railways, Ravneet Singh, he encouraged the staff to adopt better safety practices. On his way, he conducted a window-trailing inspection from Delhi to Chandigarh and interacted with the track maintainers, Signal Department maintenance staff and others.
Mr Vaishnav listened to the field experiences and challenges of the staff as well and inquired about the maintenance of signals, relays, points, turnouts, crossings, etc. Mr Vaishnav, who is on a day-long visit to Punjab, is now visiting the Semiconductor Laboratory in Mohali.
