Union Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw today conducted a surprise inspection of Anand Vihar Railway Station to ensure passenger safety and convenience during the festive season. Talking to reporters, Mr Vaishnaw said that special arrangements have been made to tackle passenger rush during festive seasons. He said, 12 thousand extra trains are being run to facilitate passengers to reach their respective destinations.

 

 

Mr Vaishanw also said that during his visit, he also interacted with passengers who appreciated the arrangements including the passenger holding area made at Anand Vihar Station by Indian Railways. Mr Vaishnaw also appealed to the members of civil society not to circulate and share misleading videos related to Railway operations as they create confusion among passengers. He stated that strict action is initiated against those who circulate fake videos about Railways on Social media. 

 

 

The Minister expressed confidence that these comprehensive arrangements for crowd management and passenger facilities will ensure smooth and safe travel for millions of passengers during the upcoming major festivals like Diwali and Chhath.
