Punjab to begin installation of anti-drone system along Indo-Pak border to curb smuggling

In Punjab, the testing of the anti-drone system has been completed, and installations will begin shortly along the Indo-Pak border. With the installation, it would be easier to check cross-border smuggling of drugs, weapons and explosives via drones. The trial runs of the counter-drone system were held at some of the border villages recently.  Tarn Taran and Amritsar districts witness a maximum number of drone intrusions and seizure of drugs and weapons. The system could detect any flying machine within a 10 km radius. Punjab Police Chief Gaurav Yadav said that the deployment will be carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the Border Security Force (BSF).
