The Punjab State Child Rights Commission (PSCRC) has directed the Additional Director General of Punjab Police (ADGP), Cyber Crime, to take action against those spreading obscenity on social media.

PSCRC’s  Chairman, Kanwardeep Singh has directed that the action must be taken against those uploading vulgar and indecent content on social media platforms. He said that in the present scenario, children are under the strong impact of social media and legal action must be taken against those uploading ambiguous videos and of promoting drugs and glorifying gun culture on social media.

The Commission has asked the ADGP to inform within 15 days about the action taken in this context.
