In Punjab, several BJP leaders were detained for hours yesterday while holding awareness camps regarding the welfare schemes of the Central Government. All BJP leaders, including state president Sunil Jakhar and former central minister Vijay Sampla, have condemned the act as dictatorial and anti-people.

The awareness camps are being organised across the state by the party under the name – “Bhajpa Dey Sevadar, Aagye Tuhadey Dwar” to aware the general public to benefit from these schemes.

Condemning the AAP government’s act in Punjab, Mr. Sampla said that BJP leaders and workers were detained at 39 places across the state and were deliberately halted for helping the needy to register for the beneficial schemes of the Centre. State BJP President Sunil Jakhar said that people will not spare the state government for depriving them of the benefits of various central government schemes.
