In one of the biggest heroin seizures of this year in Punjab, the state police recovered 30 kilograms of heroin from the possession of a drug smuggler when he was on his way to deliver the consignment in Amritsar.

Punjab’s Director General of Police, Gaurav Yadav, stated that the arrested smuggler, who received a large consignment of the narcotic from across the border via drone, was involved in large-scale heroin smuggling. Further interrogation is on to gather more details about the source and distribution network involved in this smuggling.
