As Dussehra is being celebrated across the nation with much religious fervour and gaiety, Punjab Police has adopted a different way to celebrate the festival and aware the public against the drug menace.

 

 

In Jalandhar, the police commissionerate has installed the effigy of the fourth demon, that is of drugs, amid colourful effigies of Ravana, Meghnath and Kumbhkarana at some places in the city. Named as ‘Nasheyan Da Rakshas’ (Demon of drugs), it will be burnt in the evening to spread the message against drugs through Dussehra.
