Punjab Police has neutralised one drug smuggler and has arrested two narco-smugglers in two different operations today.
Anti-Narcotics Task Force shot dead a smuggler in a retaliatory fire, when he fired on a police team that intercepted him. A pistol, 2 Kilogram Heroin and 15 Lakh rupees drug money has been recovered from his possession.
In another operation, Tarn Taran border district police busted an international narco-terror module and arrested two of its associates with 7 sophisticated pistols, live cartridges, 5 Kilogram Heroin and 7.20 lakh rupees drug money along with a currency counting machine. Preliminary investigation revealed that both the accused were in direct contact with Pakistan-based smugglers and foreign handlers.
