Punjab Police Inspector Lakhwinder Singh has brought laurels to the state and the country by winning a Gold Medal in the Individual Sword Event at the Masters International Tent Pegging Championship held at Ghaziabad from 10-12 November 2025. He scored a perfect 36/36.

Punjab Police as a team has also clinched a Silver Medal in the team event. The team was comprised of IPS Officer Inderbir Singh, DSP Jaswinder Singh, Inspector Youngbir Singh and Inspector Lakhwinder Singh.

Speaking to Akashvani, Inspector Youngbir Singh shared his and his team’s happiness over the win. He said six teams, including BSF, ITBP, Haryana Police, Army, Punjab Police and one from South Africa, participated in the championship.
